WHY CONSIGN WITH US?

Summer is just around the corner! That means garage sale season, we are here today to give you a couple reasons to consider consignment before you throw up those garage sale signs this weekend!

Everyone we know has a horror story about garage sales. “I was offered $5 for a china cabinet!?” It usually sounds something like that. Well, garage sales are great for selling certain items, if you just want to get rid of your stuff or your child’s clothing, toys or other items not in perfect condition then a garage sale is the way to go. It’s quick cash and you can get away with selling just about anything. BUT for your new and gently used, quality furniture and decor pieces we think consignment is the way to go, and we will tell you why.

WHY CONSIGN

For the uninitiated, the act of consigning involves placing material in the hands of another, but retaining ownership until the goods are sold. People consign for different reasons. Some are downsizing or moving, while others are selling possessions they may have inherited from a loved one. Or you may just be changing their decorating style or colours or your living situations may require larger or smaller furniture. Furniture consignment isn’t for every furniture piece (say like, your leftover college furniture or a severely damaged item). But if you have a quality piece of vintage or antique furniture you no longer want, have inherited a piece that isn’t your style, or are sick of paying the fees on a storage container full of furniture you haven’t used in awhile, consignment might be right for you. And we’re here at The Millionaire’s Daughter to help!

It’s so easy!

We show your furniture in beautiful vignettes!

At The Millionaire’s Daughter, items are displayed in attractive vignettes to allow customers to visualize them in a room or decorative setting. Displays are changed regularly due to the unique inventory and volume of sales, allowing for a continuous flow of new merchandise on the showroom floor. The store’s website offers current information on items available.
