Get to know our staff: Lisa W.

We are so pleased to introduce you to Lisa W. the manager of The Millionaire’s Daughter Kitchener store! Lisa’s dedication to making our newest location Kitchener the best it can be, is admirable. She’s brought the team together and has tons of great ideas for the new year. Here’s Lisa to tell you more!

What do you love about your job at TMD?
Lisa: The challenge and diversity of merchandise and customers.

Name 2 things you want everyone to know about you?
Lisa: I am loyal and hard-working and I ‘care’ a lot about the work I do because I believe it is a reflection of who I am and what I stand for.

When looking for pieces for your own home, where do you draw inspiration?
Lisa: Definitely HGTV, Pinterest, Wayfair, magazines, other shops/stores such as HomeSense and similar!

What do you think is the easiest way to update a room?
Lisa: Decide on a style that you love and focus on specific pieces, paint colours etc. that you can buy to turn your inspiration into reality.

Why do you think people shop at The Millionaire’s Daughter?
Lisa: To find great deals on good used furniture and home decor and to find unique pieces and treasures that they might not find in any other kind of store.

When you aren’t working, what are you doing? Hobbies, interests, etc.
Lisa: When I’m at home, I’m usually re-staging my own home (always moving things around) to freshen up the look, and I’m a neat freak, so I’m always tidying up. I’m a shopaholic too, so you can usually find me browsing around at HomeSense or the malls, looking for the latest styles in fashion and home decor. I am also an avid gardener and world traveller as well as a proud grandmother of 2 boys, 2 and 4 year old. You’ll rarely see me spending hours in the kitchen preparing extravagant meals.

If I gave you a millionaire dollars, what is the first thing you’d buy from The Millionaire’s Daughter?
Lisa: I see many things on the website, especially from the Oakville and Aurora stores!

Name 3 things on your bucket list.
Lisa: Travel, travel, travel
